As I prepare my blog today I am reflecting on my past week and how I came to the mountains of Idaho to be able to participate in a livestream training for marketing and sales to be able to improve my ability to get my message heard as I make a career shift from health care and speech language pathology into wellness, prevention and lifestyle transformation.
I don’t know how to sell a book. I don’t know how to promote a lifestyle. That is not what my training is in and so I came to get those tools. What happened was the most amazing experience.
When you go to feed your mind and you are able to have a spiritual experience and it supports your body, you know you are in the right place and you know you are doing the right thing. You know that you are listening to your voice of truth and that you are in alignment.
That is what I was able to experience this morning. When I woke after 3 long days of training and I prepared to clean up and get on the road, back to my responsibilities and my life, my duties and my comfort zone. I was reminded, very clearly, that this is not my mission. I am an instrument in the hands of God and he is using me to share his message.
So as I come here to learn how to be able to get my message out amongst the noise of the world, I recognize that I am just the messenger. I have been called to be this messenger because of my experiences and because of who I was born to be. That’s my personality, to speak up and speak out. I’m kind of a loudmouth and I always have been!
For the past 40+ years, as I’ve been told to settle down and be quiet. Shhh! You’re too much. I’ve slowly remembered who I was born to be. I’ve slowly reclaimed my speak up, defend others, recognize the truth and don’t be ashamed of it. Don’t be afraid of it. If it’s different than what other people are doing it’s OK. It’s what’s right.
This validation was really important for me, because honestly, sometimes I feel like I’m screaming into a vacuum. I feel like people don’t get it. They don’t care. It’s too hard.
I want the message to be clear. I am just the messenger. I am not perfect. It’s not easy, but it is a better way and making a difference in people’s lives. I’m no longer just improving the quality of life in the last few months as patients suffer from a disease that takes their life or as they recover from a trauma. It’s so much bigger.
It’s not about me. It’s about you. It’s not my message. It’s God’s message. It’s the message that we’ve been given a temple. We’ve been told the way to care for that temple. We’ve been given beautiful plants to eat. We’ve been given wonderful animals to have stewardship over. We’ve been given abundance so great in technology, in communication, and in science that we are overstimulated. We tune it out. We give up.
I was reminded this week [not why I came here and not what I expected] but I was reminded this week that my purpose is to share this message. To share what I have learned about listening to our voice of truth, feeding our minds uplifting beautiful supportive thoughts that enrich and enlighten and bring us knowledge; not garbage that tears down our minds and tells us we can’t do it. There’s not enough. You can’t do it.
Also, to have the knowledge and the tools to be able to support our physical bodies and our healing, our rebuilding. Not tearing it down with poisonous foods and toxins in our environments that are packaged and presented to us as addictive, self indulgent food rather than the nourishment that our bodies need.
So I came away from this week, not just with tools and skills to be able to hopefully get my message heard through a broader audience, but to have confidence in my message that I am sharing my truth. It is my calling to bring you the WOW Life and I am looking for those people who hear me.
People who resonate. People who feel in their belly that there has got to be something better… Those people who recognize: I shouldn’t be exhausted in my 20s. I shouldn’t be on prescription medications in my 30s. I shouldn’t be dying in my 40s. I shouldn’t be giving up on life in my 50s. I’m here to thrive! My divine destiny is to be the best me. If you feel that and you know that you have a message too, let’s lock arms. Help me spread the message inspiring healthy living.
Never in my wildest imaginations as I put together the plans, made arrangements for responsibilities as I was going to be gone this week. Never did I imagine that this educational opportunity would become a spiritual confirmation that I am in the right place, at the right time, with the right message and you are the right person to hear it.
If you are reading this, there is a reason, and I hope that you will join me in this journey. I hope that you will listen to your voice of truth. The voice of truth is so quiet but it will never ever steer you wrong, so if you feel that…tell me!
There is strength in numbers! There is nothing more frustrating than feeling like the only fish swimming upstream. But the reality is, if we look around, there are millions of us swimming upstream. Its just that we are in a pool of billions, so it doesn’t feel like it! There’s millions of us so come join me! Come help me! Together our voice is so much stronger. Together our light is so much brighter. Together our fire is so much warmer. Come join me!
